Hi, I’m Erick Huicochea.
I have been living in Playa del Carmen since 2016, after spending my early years in Toluca, Mexico. My passion for photography and cinema began at early age, when I started attending after-school photography courses in my hometown and Mexico City.
Although I initially pursued a degree in arts, I left university to begin working in media at 19, launching my editorial career at a local news journal and lifestyle magazine.
Upon moving to the Caribbean at the age of 24, I became editor-in-chief and photographer for Residente, a local gastronomy magazine.
For 9 years, I had the opportunity to document and photograph the vibrant lifestyle scene of the Riviera Maya.
The pandemic marked a turning point in my journey, propelling me into a thriving career as a freelance photographer and videographer.
My work has been featured in Elle Deco, as, Michelin Guide, GQ, Forbes, Travel & Leisure and a wide range of national and local publications.
As a visual producer, I now collaborate independently across various industries, including real estate, hospitality, and gastronomy with local and global brands.
Photography has profoundly shaped my life over nearly a decade, I'll be more than happy to calaborate with you.
